The room is reasonably priced. There are lots of supplies like: central heating, multi-channel TV and a microwave. The hotel is on a marvellous location not far from the beach and Nelson township and supermarkets, shops, cinema and restaurants, and also the information centre.

The location of the hotel was excellent, being close to everything in the city center. The staff were kind, helpful, and always had a smile on their face. The room was clean and tidy, and I loved the spacious and private atmosphere. The spa bath was a fantastic addition, and I enjoyed relaxing in it. The coffee selection, especially the plunger coffee, was great.
Can't fault the property in any way.

I had a great time staying at a motel near a lovely river walk. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the town center. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a fully refurbished bathroom. The hosts were extremely helpful and considerate, providing excellent service. The motel offered wifi, a DVD player, and access to Netflix and YouTube. The cleanliness and affordability of the accommodation were commendable.
I did notice that the stairs to the first floor were not cleaned properly.

kings gate motel in nelson was even better than before! rose was super friendly and let us store our bags while hiking. they surprised us with easter eggs too. loved the clean apartment, separate bedroom, and pool. perfect location near town and river walk. exceptional stay!

The hotel's location was perfect for me, as it was within walking distance of the city centre and the great river walk. The cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, with the owner being especially fantastic. Additionally, the hotel facilities, such as the swimming pool and the availability of bicycles for free, added to the overall positive experience.

Our 4-night stay at Kings Gate Motel was fantastic! The unit was clean, spacious, and had a separate kitchen. The air conditioning was excellent, and we enjoyed the great TV with Sky and YouTube. The pool was lovely, and they provided extra towels. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and the owners were friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the nice walk into town and the welcoming Easter eggs from Rose, the owner. we were very happy with our stay at Kings Gate Motel!
